My writing journey

Introduction

Writing is a form of human communication that highlights the fact of expression, thoughts and views in sentences, words or syllables.

Life is in faces and chances are in phases. Like growth is irreversible, the stand of development as a writer is always open for improvement. When I started my writing journey, I thought writing was bonded to limited exactions and structural composition based on the tracks left behind by previous distinguished writers.

However, along the line, I discovered some key points about the heart of a writer;

The power house of any writer is in the mind. When the mind of a writer is placed on a relay, it will affect the creative ability of the writer. Therefore a sound mind reciprocate a good write ups.

The heart of a writer is a landing spot of literature. Writing effectively cannot be taught but can be learnt. The best gift anyone can ever offer to himself is the knowledge of himself.

The heart of a writer is a writer of the heart.

Furthermore, from the above clarification, I was able to build up my confidence in the writing village through observing fully the following keep points;

Writing Daily

Waking up with the thought of writing something built up the passion for writing. You don't write when you feel like writing, you write because writing is what you're meant to do. As writers, we create meaning out of nothing and transform nothing into something. Two things are necessary in this village; Love what you do and do what you love.

Carry note and pen always

Inspiration are like the air we breathe, it can flow in and out at anytime and interval. Carrying a little note and pen always with you will do more good.

Emptying the cup

To improve my writing ability I made up my mind to always empty my cup. I never shut my door against any opportunity for improvement and correction. As content can't be poured into an already filled cup, knowledge can't be transferred into a mind that is not ready to open up.

Read Read and Read

Reading and writing works hand in hand. Writing can't exist without reading, vis visa. To be a good writer, I open myself to reading good and rich books.

Place yourself to a test

Gradually as I sailed through the writing village, I placed my writing ability to a test by engaging in any contest I came across. Most times I failed but I keep moving because to get there, i must start here.

I have passed through the walls, nooks and crannies of the writing village everyday, seeking and observing so as to build up myself and it has been an exciting journey so far.
