UNALLOY SUPPORT OF AAPOLY GOVERNING COUNCIL
Not only has the Governing Council of Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic Ijebu Igbo, Ogun State familiarises herself with the terrain of the institution since the body came on board in August, 2022 but has held two statutory meetings to ensure tremendous achievements and an overall development of the Polytechnic.
The Governing Council headed by the Chairperson, Alhaja Salimot Badru has mapped out some strategic plans which will be executed in succession. Forward ever and backward never is the watchword of the Governing Council of Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic, for the accomplishment of the desired goal. In a bid to achieve the institutional goal, the Governing Council recently carried out AN ON THE SPOT Assessment of the available facilities across all schools in the Polytechnic with a view to making up all deficiencies.
Furthermore, the Governing Council recently conducted Staff Audit to evaluate the Establishment status of the institution and as well provide adequate staff where necessary.
Complimenting the above, the Governing Council paid a Royal Homage to HRM, Oba Lawrence Jayeoba Adebajo, the VI Orimolusi of Ijebu Igbo and other Monarchs across all quarters in Ijebu Igbo.
His Royal Majesty, Oba Lawrence Jayeoba Adebajo heartily welcomed the Governing Council and the Management team of Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic. He states, "One good turn deserves another " In this regard, the sons and daughters of the Ijebu Igbo community will extend their support and reciprocate gestures to the Polytechnic.
Present at the forum were notable monarchs in Ijebu Igbo kingdom like Oba Abdul Rasheed Abayomi Olusesan Banjo, the Olokini of Ojowo, the Sopen Lukale of Oke-Sopen, Oba Muftau Yusuf Adesesan.
Representing the Management team, the Acting Registrar, Mr. S.O Idowu appreciated the unflinching support of all monarchs in Ijebu Igbo kingdom before the installation of the Orimolusi of Ijebu Igbo kingdom. Mr. S. O Idowu acknowledged the pleasure to have the then Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Her Excellency, Alhaja Salimot Badru as the chairperson of the Governing Council. Since the chairperson came on board, she has been making tremendous impact on the polytechnic. The Acting Registrar further states that the polytechnic is looking forward to a continuous royal support now that Ijebu Igbo community has a paramount ruler.
The Chairperson of the Governing Council, Her Excellency, Alhaja Salimot Badru used the forum to intimate the monarchs about the deplorable state of the Polytechnic which seems to be the least developed among other ICT Polytechnics that were established the same time. She also pleaded for maximum support towards moving the Polytechnic to greater heights.
The Orimolusi, in his response, assured the Governing Council the required support for the institution within the shortest possible time.
